Airport Passenger Traffic

Domestic and international passenger traffic from California’s top 10 commercial airports.

* Traffic counts include total enplanements and deplanements at each airport.

• In December 2025, total passenger traffic across California’s top ten airports reached 18.2 million, with domestic travelers accounting for 80% of the volume. Overall traffic was down 3.1% compared to December 2024.
• The state’s three busiest airports—LAX (6.3M), SFO (4.5M), and SAN (2.2M)—collectively handled 13.1 million passengers during the month.
• San Jose (SJC, -16.2%) , Burbank (BUR, -16.1%) and Oakland (OAK, -13.8%) reported the steepest year-over-year declines.
• Meanwhile, San Diego  (+3.3%) and Orange County (+2.1%) experienced modest growth for the month.
